  Upper Back Stretches

The next time you are tempted to tell the world to "get off my back!" OR if you’ve just been giving one too many piggy back rides: Take a couple of minutes to release the tension in a really productive way.

The Shoulder Hug
Starting Position:
Standing or sitting with your shoulders relaxed, wrap each arm across your chest and reach with your hands as far back behind your shoulders as possible. In other words, give yourself a hug! Bow your head in between your arms and gently pull your shoulders as far forward as you can. You should feel a stretch adcross your shoulders, upper back, and in between your shoulder blades. Hold the position for 30 to 60 seconds.

Back of Neck Stretch
Starting Position:
Standing or sitting with your shoulders relaxed, place one hand on the top of your head and gently pull your head toward your chest. Hold the position for 30 to 60 seconds, breathing evenly.
