mashed potatoes   (Serves: 4)
Ingredients
6 large potato
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
 
Instructions
Put large pot water on to boil. Peel potatoes and cut them into quarters/add to water (put in a little salt).
Drain potatoes when fork tender (about 20 mins)/add butter and milk.
Mash potatoes with potato masher or mixer/add salt and pepper to taste.

fresh green beans   (Serves: 4)
Ingredients
1 lb beans, green, fresh
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup water
 
Instructions
Wash green beans and snap off ends.
Snap in half.
Put in microwave safe baking dish with 2 to 3 Tbsp water.
Cover with microwave safe cover and vent.
Cook on high in microwave for about 5 minutes or until beans are fork tender.
OR:
Put cleaned and snapped beans in small sauce pan with 1/2 cup water and simmer until tender.
Drain and add 2 Tbsp butter, salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and let butter melt, stir and serve.

texas beans   (Serves: 4)
Ingredients
1 can beans, Texas style with jalapeno
1 can beans, pinto
 
Instructions
In a medium pot mix both cans of beans and heat on the stovetop.

steak marinade   (Serves: 4)
Ingredients
4 clove garlic
4 steak, favorite cut
2 Tbsp sauce, Worcestershire
1 cup sauce, bbq
2 tsp sauce, hot
1 tsp salt
 
Instructions
The night before, (or at least 2 hours) chop garlic and add all the ingredients in a large ziplock bag.
When ready to cook, remove steaks from bag. Cook steak on outside grill or broil in oven.
